A Muslim wedding card usually invites guests to two events: the Nikah (the marriage itself) and the Walima (the reception hosted by the groom's family). Some families add a Mehndi or a Manjha. Below are complete formats in Hindi, Roman Urdu and English that you can copy and change.
The order of a Muslim wedding card
1. Bismillah at the top, in Arabic script or as "Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem".
2. The invitation line from the parents or the elder of the family.
3. The names of the bride and groom with their parents' names.
4. Nikah: date, time (often after a particular namaz) and venue.
5. Walima or reception, if it's on the same card.
6. Dua and closing line, and the names of the family members who await the guests (muntazir).

بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem

Format 1: Nikah invitation from the bride's family (Hindi)
बिस्मिल्लाहिर्रहमानिर्रहीम अल्लाह तआला के फ़ज़ल-ओ-करम से हमारी बेटी आयशा (बिन्त जनाब इमरान ख़ान) का निकाह ज़ैद (इब्न जनाब सलीम अहमद, लखनऊ) के साथ इंशाअल्लाह शनिवार, 12 दिसंबर 2026 को बाद नमाज़-ए-इशा होना तय पाया है। आप से गुज़ारिश है कि तशरीफ़ लाकर दुआओं से नवाज़ें।
Format 2: from the groom's family with Walima (Roman Urdu)
Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem Allah ke fazl se hamare bete Zaid ka Nikah Ayesha binte Janab Imran Khan ke saath Insha'Allah 12 December 2026 ko tay paaya hai. Nikah: Saturday, 12 December, ba'ad namaz-e-Asr Dawat-e-Walima: Sunday, 13 December, 8 baje raat Aap ki tashreef-awari hamare liye baais-e-masarrat hogi.
Format 3: English
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Mr and Mrs Imran Khan request the pleasure of your company at the Nikah of their daughter Ayesha with Zaid son of Mr and Mrs Saleem Ahmed on Saturday, 12 December 2026, after Isha prayers at Noor Mahal Banquets, Lucknow.
Format 4: short, for WhatsApp
Assalamu Alaikum! Alhamdulillah, Ayesha and Zaid's Nikah is on 12 December, after Isha, at Noor Mahal, Lucknow. Walima on 13 December, 8 pm. Please join us and keep the couple in your duas.
Format 5: English, from the bride's parents for their daughter
Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Raheem With the blessings of Allah Almighty, Dr and Mrs Imran Khan joyfully invite you to the Nikah of their beloved daughter Ayesha with Zaid, son of Mr and Mrs Saleem Ahmed. Insha'Allah on Saturday, 12 December 2026, after Isha prayers. Your presence and duas will mean the world to us.
Mehndi or Manjha invitation
Many families hold a Mehndi or Manjha a day or two before the Nikah, usually for close family and friends. A short, warm line works best.
Ayesha ki Mehndi ki raat mein aap sab ko dili dawat hai. Jumma, 11 December, 7 baje shaam Ghar par, Aminabad, Lucknow Haathon mein mehndi, dil mein khushi, bas aap ka intezaar hai.
Walima card on its own

Tips for a Muslim wedding card
- Ask the family elder whether Arabic script should appear on the card. Some families prefer it only on printed cards, and not on images that get forwarded and deleted, out of respect.
- Name the namaz if the Nikah time depends on it ("ba'ad namaz-e-Isha"), and add a clock time too for guests from other cities.
- Write "bin" or "binte" (son of, daughter of) only if your family uses it; "s/o" and "d/o" are fine on English cards.
- Put the Walima on its own page or card if the groom's family is hosting it separately.
